Invisalign

The easy way to straighten your teeth. The Invisalign system uses clear, removable aligners. Great for adults and teens.

About The Service

Want straighter teeth, but don’t like the look or feeling of braces? Consider Invisalign.

Invisalign is the brand name of a type of thin clear aligner used in orthodontic treatment. As the name suggests, Invisalign is a more discrete way to handle your orthodontic treatment. Made from a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack, these seemingly transparent aligners are molded perfectly to fit over your teeth and are much less noticeable than the brackets and wires usually found with traditional braces.

What Does Invisalign Help With?

Invisalign can be used for a variety of purposes, including crowding and spacing issues, as well as some mild and moderate bite issues.

The Invisalign website claims that it can be used to treat the following dental issues:

  • Bite issues including, but not limited to overbite, underbite, & open bite.
  • Teeth crowding
  • Teeth Gaps
  • Misaligned or Crooked Teeth

Why Should You Get Invisalign?

Invisalign is a great alternative for patients who want a straighter smile but do not want to wear metal braces, or for patients who have had treatment in the past and want to make minor corrections to their smile. There are several advantages to orthodontic treatment with clear aligners.

  • Invisalign is easier to keep clean compared to traditional braces. This will lead to better teeth & gum health.
  • Invisalign is perfectly molded to your teeth, making it more comfortable and less likely to poke, prod, and irritate your gums, lips, & cheeks.
  • Invisalign acts as a light shield around your teeth, reducing the effects of tooth grinding.
  • Invisalign is removable, which makes eating more comfortable.

How Does It Work?

  • Book an appointment with Peony Dental
  • Receive a consultation about your teeth to see if Invisalign is right for you
  • If approved, our lab tech will create a 3-D image of your mouth and jaw. They’ll use this image to put together a plan for moving your teeth into their proper place.
  • Your orthodontist will then use that plan to create a series of customized plastic aligners. These aligners will apply pressure to your teeth, gradually shifting them and moving them into the desired places.
  • Smile with your new straighter smile!
